breakfast at the hotel. i had a roll with nutella, fruit, tea, yogurt. elizabeth and i went to the medici chapel at san lorenzo church. amazing colored marble. wonderful statues by michaelangelo day night dawn dusk. lots of relics of saints. met up with sara. went to the offitzi. its an art museum with paintings by botticelli, the venus of urbino, and lots of other amazing paintings. most were religious and renaissance ones. many madonna with child etc. we went to another amazing place for lunch. i had ribbolito soup again. after lunch we went to santa minyata al monte. gorgeous view of the city because its on a hill. eagle representing the wool makers guild who had the church built. first church of florence. there are so many little stalls around on the streets. the streets are not paved just cobble stones. very old fashioned feel. lots of motorcyles. the drivers go crazy fast!
