Today was a fun but busy day.
I went for a run around Fredericksberg Have. The church bells on this really neat old church with a cool clock tower were ringing. Lots of birds were out and it was very warm and sunny which it almost never is here.
I went into Norreport Station to meet people going on a trip to Louisiana the museum of modern art. It is quite a ways outside the city in a much more rural area near the ocean. We went on a tour of the museum. I appreciated the artwork much more because the guide was able to tell us about what we were looking at. This gave it more meaning for me and made it more interesting. I hadn't heard of any of the artists there except for Warhol. There was a cool room with all windows looking out on the ocean and a diving board that went through the glass. They had a special exhibit by this woman who put on different make up and clothing and made herself look completely different in all these different photographs. The museum itself was OK but I really really loved the sculpture gardens and outside part. You can see the ocean. They have very interesting sculptures placed in creative places throughout these meandering paths. There was a pretty pond also with a slide and a neat play structure to walk around on and get different views.
I was sitting with a student from Bejing China on the train. She was more amazed by the birds and nature of the area around the museum that I was.
The DIS movie this week was called Festen (The Celebration). It's about a man's 60th birthday party where his children reveal that he sexually molested them. Lots of family dysfunctionality and tension. One of the man's daughters is engaged to a black man and the others in the famiy act in very racist ways towards him.
I came home and had dinner with Ida and Karen. We had pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and fried in a pan. We also had peppers and parsnips sauteed, a broccoli, and tomato salad, and homemade rolls.
