Hi. Went to Elizabeth's host families house to pick up a evaluation of our time at the practicum and give her some dvds that the Millers sent me. Elizabeth is sick and didn't go to class. I got a tiny bit lost coming out the station near her house but then I figured it out.
Went into DIS for a meeting with Maja, the practicum EDC class professor. She was having talks with everyone about how the practicum experience is going. We discussed the evaluations that we and the pedagogues had to do about our time. Basically it's going well but I need to talk with the pedagogues more and set boundaries with the children. My communication and interaction with the children is super duper though.
I went for run around the "potato houses" rows of houses that are 3 floors high and built to house tons of people when urbanization and an influx of immigrants came to the city. I was also running around a botanical garden near Norreport.
I went back home had lunch and did homework.
Went into DIS for and EDC class about foster children. Here foster parents can't adopt. Children are removed from their families for less drastic measures than are required in the States.
We had a great discussion. We got feedback forms about a short answer test we had to do. I didn't use quotes because it said use your own words but then now he wanted us to cite and use quotes OOPS. He also seemed to be asking us to just summarize this law about SPED but then he's grading us on how we analyzed it and discussed what was good and bad. A bit of a miscommunication and expectations that were very confusing and extremely unclear. GRRR!
We watched a movie with Danish class called After the Wedding. It was good. Its about a man who is going to die. He brings the biological father of his daughter who has been in India doing great things back to his daughters wedding. The man who had been in India was coming to get the Danish man's money to fund a project. It ends up that the Danish man's wife and the guy who had been in India end up sort of falling in love again. The danish man dies. The daughter and the biological father who had been in India become close. The daughters husband cheats on her days after marrying her and she is very upset. Yet another movie about dysfunctional families. Oh goodness the silly Danes you'd think they could find another topic to write about.
